Overdraft Privilege Policy

It is the policy of this bank to comply with all applicable laws and regulations and to conduct business in accordance with applicable safety and soundness standards.

First Federal Community Bank is not obligated to pay any item presented for payment if your account has an insufficient balance.

  • Insufficient balances may result from:
  • Payment of checks, withdrawal requests, or electronic funds transfers,
  • Payments authorized by you,
  • Return of items deposited by you,
  • Bank charges imposed on you,
  • Deposit of Items which, according to the Bank's Funds Availability Policy, are treated as not yet available. *( For more information regarding the 'Funds Availability Policy' visit your local banking center.)

Overdraft Privilege is only available for consumer accounts (personal and household use) that have been open for at lease thirty (30) days and in good standing, which includes:

  • Making regular deposits;
  • Bringing the balance positive every thirty days for less;
  • Not in default on any loan or other obligation to First Federal Community Bank; and
  • Not subject to any legal or administrative order or levy.

First Federal Community Bank will consider, as a discretionary courtesy, approving your reasonable overdrafts. This privilege will be limited to a maximum of $500.00 overdraft (negative) balance. These limits include our Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF) Charge(s).

The amount of any overdrafts plus NSF Charge(s) that you owe shall be due and payable on demand, and owner/signor will continue to be liable, jointly and severally, for all such amounts.

Again, approval of payment of reasonable overdrafts can cease at any time without prior notice of reason or cause.
