Share Loans

There are times you have an unexpected expense, and, even though you have the funds to meet the expense, the funds are tied up in a First Federal certificate of deposit (CD) account. 

In such a case—and especially if you would be penalized for withdrawing the funds early—we have a special type of loan that might help.  It's called a Share Loan. We let you borrow against the principal value of your certificate account at a rate 2% above its yield.

This type of loan benefits you because you retain the money that's in the CD, along with the interest you're earning, and you're borrowing at an advantageous rate. It's a win-win for your financial management.
